On my honor, I will try... Hannah had her Investiture Ceremony for Daisy Girl Scouts on November 8th. An investiture is a girl scout ceremony where girls are welcomed into girl scouting for the first time. The girls had to learn about girl scouts and the girl scout promise. They did an amazing job! They performed a daisy girl scout song for the parents and then served everyone refreshments (their favorite part!)
It is really fun to work with the girls, they are really sweet, have some fantastic ideas and LOTS OF ENERGY! :)
Last week we visited Mother Joseph's Nursing Care Center with the Brownie and Junior Girl Scout troops to sing Christmas carols and bring the residents the Christmas door hanger decorations the girls made. Lots of fun and lots of smiles from the residents. It's nice to be able to do things with the kids that remind us all of the reason for the season.
