Well, if you were not one of the approximately 52,391 people that Hannah has told she is starting kindergarten in the last 4 weeks, the girl has indeed started school! She was so excited to go to school and was literally bouncing around the house the night before school started. She woke up and jumped out of bed ready to get dressed and finally be able to wear the uniform that has been in hanging in her closet the last four weeks. I will have to remind her a few years from now that she WANTED to wear her uniform once. :)
We arrived at school and she posed for the obligatory first day of school photos. Then it was off to the line to meet a few new friends, show off her new uniform, shoes and tinkerbell packback and then figure out which line was for the "gold" class. Next we went in, kids and Moms and Dads following close behind. Like a pro, she found her cubby, hung up her back pack and found her place on a lilly pad on the floor. After a quick blown kiss to Mom and Dad and a huge smile, the parents departed, leaving the new kindergartener to settle in.
It is hard to believe how fast the last two years have gone. It seems like we have gone from baby to almost six year old in the blink of an eye. Slow down girl, this Mama wants to enjoy her little girl just a little longer. :)
